A portrait of the author, Jessica Stackhouse, smiling. The picture is in a sort of watercolor style. She has on glasses with red frames and her blonde-brunette hair is tied to one side in a braid.

Jess Stackhouse is a mother, wife, author, and Deputy Clerk for her local court. A passion for public service and interest in the legal process inspired Jess’ journey into self-publication in hopes of sharing simplified stories of the court system. She loves dancing and crafting with her little lady, watching procedurals with her husband, and helping the public navigate the often overwhelming and confusing world of the general district court system.
